Great place, friendly and excellent additional facilities

The hotel is great, friendly staff, reasonable size room and it has very thing you need. The additional facilities like free tea and coffee and soft drink all day is amazing as well as happy hour (even though I only used it a few times).

Nice standard hotel

The bed was comfortable. There was a great free happy hour. Location was pretty close to several trains and walkable to a few tourist sites. There was also an on-site laundry machine.

Very good service and facilities provided.

Overall the staff were friendly and accommodating. Location was convenient, close to a bus stop. One of the receptionist went above and beyond to please us when I asked her to write some wishes in Japanese for us on a tori that I bought from Fushimi Inari. I also liked the fact that we were allowed to have a happy hour for drinks for one hour during the day.

Location was overall good but if you wanted to walk it, you needed about 25-30 mins to arrive to the centre.

The room size for two single beds was great, appreciated all the amenities provided. The free drinks was a fantastic option and unique for a smaller hotel. Cocktail hour is a fun way to encourage guests to use the lobby.

Only having one complimentary house cleaning felt cheap, at least providing new towels daily and emptying bins should have been an option. Your buffet needs a larger variety, whilst I can understand your team may be smaller and you offer this service daily; for the price you ask I didn’t feel there was enough options within the different breakfast styles.

Great stay to explore Kyoto

Excellent location (maybe just being in front of the station would be better), helpful staff. Breakfast mostly continental, abundant and variegated, not changing day to day tho. Room the usual Japanese size. Soft drinks always available and free 1-hour alcohol drinks every day were really great.

WiFi could be arranged better, basically the network name is the same everywhere but you just connect with different passwords on each floor, this means that if you connect in your room and go downstairs to lobby your phone would fail to connect and won't connect automatically next time you're in range. My girlfriend phone was throwing errors everytime and just refused to connect (after the first successful connection) because of this. Not a deal-breaking but still something that can be improved.

Nice hotel , friendly staff and spacious room

The hotel is very pleasant, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and comfortable. It is conveniently located near the train station, although there are limited dining options in the immediate area. However, the hotel compensates for this with an in-house kitchen service available until 9 p.m., as well as a happy hour from 6 to 9 p.m. Overall, it offers good value for money, and I would recommend it to other travelers.

Rooms facing the street can be quite noisy due to traffic throughout the night. It’s advisable to request a room on the quieter side of the hotel for a more restful stay

Very clean, comfortable, kind staff, great breakfast and happy hour. Awesome value :) we loved it!

We loved how well located it was to the station, comfortable room (could be slightly larger, but we had big luggage so that made it akward everywhere) and the staff attention was wonderful. Plus the happy hour was a great addition!

Maybe make some of the rooms slightly larger by shifting some of the furniture or adding extra hanging closets or something similar, but other than that all was perfect.

Highly recommend as a hotel stay in Kyoto.

The room that I stayed has view of Kyoto Tower and Higashi Hongan-ji Temple. There are several cafes within the area of the hotel. Hotel is within walking distance to Shichijo station. There is Uniqlo Kyoto Yodobashi nearby. Hotel provides free coffee and tea throughout the day, soft drinks is available till midnight daily. Microwave is available at the lobby pantry. Self-laundry, smoking room, drinks vending machine and some snacks for purchase is available at level 1 within hotel. Room has ample space for allowing 2 luggages to be fully opened.

Automated check-in and bag holding. Also a great location for those visiting Nara Park.

Lovely!

I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Japan and this one had the best breakfast. I’ve never eaten scrambled eggs this good! Everything else was also cooked to perfection. They also had good drink selection and plenty of amenities, not just the basic stuff. Room was clean and the stuff was kind and helpful.

It would be a good idea to replace the old hairdryers, they barely work.

Fine hotel, good value for money!

The views from our room were spectacular! The room itself was a decent size, though could be a little bigger if you and a second person want to open up your fairly large suitcases comfortably. It had modern facilities and was clean. The fridge and the TV with various streaming services were a nice touch. The staff were kind, helpful, and informative and had set up a nice communal area on the first floor for people to eat, indulge in free drinks, and hang out. Though a little far from Kyoto station, it takes about 15 minutes to walk there if you don't want to take a bus. Overall, a fine hotel!

Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have prior notice of having to pay city tax before arriving! Also, the internet kept cutting out!
